Privacy policy

Last updated: 31 October 2026

Short version: Fluffy Facts does not collect personal data. This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no trackers. Our app for Instagram and Facebook only posts to our own accounts.

Who we are

Fluffy Facts makes short animated videos about space. We publish them on YouTube (@fluffy-facts), Instagram (@fluffyfacts_) and our Facebook Page, and on this website, fluffyfacts.com. For any question about privacy, email [email protected].

This website

  • No cookies, no tracking. We don’t set cookies, use analytics or advertising tools, or build profiles. There are no accounts, forms or newsletters.
  • Server logs. Like almost every website, our web server writes a technical log of each request: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the referring page and the browser’s user agent. We use it only to keep the site secure and working. The logs are deleted automatically after 14 days.
  • Cloudflare. The website is delivered through Cloudflare, which protects it against attacks and handles the secure (HTTPS) connection. To do that, Cloudflare processes the same technical data. In rare cases Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie, for example when it checks whether a visitor is a bot. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
  • YouTube videos. The videos on this site are not loaded until you press play. Before that, your browser sends nothing to YouTube. When you press play, the player loads from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced domain (youtube-nocookie.com). From then on, Google receives your IP address and may store information on your device, under Google’s privacy policy.
  • Links. Our pages link to sources (such as NASA) and to our social media pages. Those websites have their own privacy policies.

Our app for Instagram and Facebook

We use a Meta app, “FluffyFacts”, for one purpose: to publish our own videos to our own Instagram account (@fluffyfacts_) and our own Facebook Page, and to read the statistics of those posts.

  • The app is used only by us, for our own accounts. It does not offer “Log in with Facebook” and nobody else can use it.
  • It does not collect, store or process personal data of other Instagram or Facebook users. It reads only totals for our own posts and accounts, such as views, reach, likes, the number of comments and the number of followers. It does not read the content of comments or messages, or who liked or viewed a post.
  • The access keys for our accounts are stored securely on our own server and are never shared.

We also use the YouTube API Services to upload our own videos to our own channel and to read their statistics. If you watch our videos on YouTube, the YouTube Terms of Service and Google’s privacy policy apply.

If you email us

If you send us an email, we use your address and message only to answer you, and we don’t share them with anyone.

If you send us a question for a Short

If you send a space question (by email, comment or DM) and we use it, we mention you in that Short and its caption, using only the name you chose: your first name, your @handle, or nobody if you prefer to stay anonymous. We keep your question and that name only to make and credit the Short. Ask us at any time and we’ll stop mentioning you in new posts.

Deleting data

Because we don’t collect personal data, there is usually nothing to delete. If you think we hold data about you, see Data deletion or email [email protected]. We respond within 30 days.

Your rights

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you can ask us which data we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. You can also complain to your data protection authority.

Children

Our videos are suitable for all ages. We don’t knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we update this page and the date at the top.
